Ollie Haste signs for The Magpies

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Ollie Haste, subject to FA approval. The defender has this afternoon put pen-to-paper on a contract with the club, having impressed at The Avenue on loan from Yeovil Town last season, where he became a key part of the Magpies backline and went on to win the vote for the 23/24 Supporters Player of the Season trophy. On signing for the club permanently ahead of the new season, Ollie said: “It feels great to be a Dorchester player. I fell in love with the club the moment I came in last year on loan. “The club has a clear vision to succeed that I want to continue where we left off last season. I had options at the end of last year but after discussions with family and friends, Dorch was always the right answer. “Winning the Player of the Season award was a massive achievement for me. It reflected the hard work and determination everyone put in and I’m glad the fans could see how much I cared about the club.” Ollie is set to feature in our final pre-season game away at Weymouth this afternoon. Welcome back Hastey!

Club announcement Dear all players and parents… Due to the increase in popularity of the new mini shinpads (8x5) the North Devon League have made the decision to ban the use of these as they do not provide adequate protection to footballers. To honour this ban we as a club have decided to also ban the use of these shinpads across the board, therefore meaning no player is permitted to use this type of shinpads during any training sessions or Match day activities. Regards Bideford Blues Committee
